When we found out we were having a baby girl I was so excited to get started on her nursery. One thing I knew I wanted were neutral colors and a bohemian flair. If you haven’t already noticed, our whole house is designed with a neutral tone.

With my daughter’s room, I really wanted to design the sweetest bohemian nursery. I know what you’re thinking – Bohemian Nursery? My husband’s thoughts exactly. I’ve been loving little hints of boho style and I thought her nursery would be the perfect place to start!

My style is always evolving in our house and I’m always wanting to rearrange everything. The easiest way to do that is having neutral décor in every room. I’m able to move things throughout the house without it being tied to a specific room.

You guys know my love for open shelving and I thought this space on the wall was perfect. So, I added my favorite DIY Open Shelving to give her room some warmth to break up all the white.

For giggles, here’s what her room looked like before we moved in! (Don’t mind the terrible quality of my iPhone photo) We added new carpet, painted the trim/doors/walls/chandelier, scraped the stipple ceilings, and turned our bi-fold closet doors into french doors. It’s amazing how much a space can change with just cosmetic fixes.

Liv James got a nursery design that reflected the uniqueness of her name with a nursery full of vintage, modern, boho goodness and lots of DIYs to inspire you to transform your little one’s space!

  1. Gorgeous! Did you go with the “linen” fabric on the Sutton glider from babies r us? I am looking at the same glider but wasn’t sure about the fabric. Is it holding up well? I couldn’t ever find an answer as to what type of fabric it was. Thanks!

    1. Hi Audrey,

Thank you! The glider that’s linked on the Get The Look is the one I purchased which was linen. However, linen is the color not the type of fabric. If you’re looking for a fabric that feels more like linen go with the “burlap.” The fabric holds up great so far! I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks and have no complaints so far 🙂

    1. Thank you Anjanette! It’s Sherwin Williams Accessible Beige. The exact color code is in Powder Bathroom Makeover Post 🙂 I used this same color throughout my entire house!

  2. Beautiful nursery! I am expecting a baby girl in March. Where did you get the goat painting that was on your instagram? I love it!

    1. Hi Clare!

Thank you so much. Oh that’s so exciting, congratulations! I got it from a boutique at a store called Miss Lucille’s in Tennessee. I’ll see if I can find out where she got them from. I’ve had so many questions about it already 🙂

  3. This is so beautiful and has been inspiring for decorating our nursery currently! I was wondering where you got the glass vase from and if the plant in it is real or fake? It looks so natural and lovely! Thank you!

    1. Hi Beth!

Thank you so much!! The vase is from Hobby Lobby and the plants in the nursery are all fake. The greenery in the glass vase is a light green boxwood stem and the fiddle leaf fig is also from Hobby Lobby as well!
