Welcome

Hey, I'm Kourtni. We're all about making DIY look designer with every project, furniture flip or thrifted find. We traded salty beaches for a cabin in the woods of middle Tennessee. We just finished renovating a 50’s Beach Bungalow with our Spanish roots in the heart of Key West, Florida. We sold our home almost fully furnished so we'll be starting from scratch in our cabin. You can expect tutorials, design tips and sources, FREE printable plans and family cabin life!

The only way to create the vibe was with twinkly string lights for smart entertaining. My powered by Hubspace smart devices from @homedepot are so versatile it was the perfect inexpensive way to get our deck ready for outdoor entertaining season.

The Hubspace App powers all my Ecosmart Light Bulbs and Hampton Bay String Lights in one app. They’re all super easy to install! Plus, I connected each device in less than 60 seconds. Slowly but surely our home is turning into a smart home and I love that I can either control all the lights from my smartphone or just say, “Hey Google - turn on porch lights.” There are so many options for Hubspace friendly products including interior and exterior options.

Boring Bathroom Update DAY 1:

Did you think I was done with surprises?! There’s more so much more coming but we had to pull one more project out before we moved 🙃🫢 we started demo on this bathroom in February and it has sat partially like that for MONTHS! We’re strapped for time and now have to knock out this bathroom remodel in a matter of weeks... like less than 2 weeks to be exact because we’ve got a ton of other loose ends to finish up.

Cody and my FIL are tackling demo and I’m rollin’ in solo for tile later 😅 Buckle up girls, I see 10hr work days in my future.

It felt like the right time to reflect on how much

It felt like the right time to reflect on how much love we put into this home. Sharing some before and afters of our home in Key West 🏡 because HOLY COW I can’t believe some of these spaces are the same place. Making this video made me start tearing up, it made me really take a step back and look at how much work we really put into this house in just 3 years. I never shared that we had always planned on keeping this home and I started every single project with so much intention. I think that made me really grow in my design style and when we came to terms with NOT keeping the house I decided not to let that change anything that we had planned. It just turned into what projects are we NOT doing anymore.

Which one were you here for and which one was your favorite?! I honestly love this entire home. But I feel like the exterior transformation and our kitchen are my favorite ♥️ don’t worry the kitchen reveal is coming
