Hey, I'm Kourtni. We're all about making DIY look designer with every project, furniture flip or thrifted find. We traded salty beaches for a cabin in the woods of middle Tennessee. We just finished renovating a 50’s Beach Bungalow with our Spanish roots in the heart of Key West, Florida. We sold our home almost fully furnished so we'll be starting from scratch in our cabin. You can expect tutorials, design tips and sources, FREE printable plans and family cabin life!

the coziest basement makeover, just needs a Christ the coziest basement makeover, just needs a Christmas tree and holiday lights ♥️🌲💡 it’s not all bad selling your home mostly furnished, but it’s definitely not for the faint of heart. it gives you chance to try new design styles and dive into what you really want. Being able to say YES to each piece that brings you joy. It also takes time and curate a home. We’ve been designing the basement for months and it’s not finished, there’s so much more we want to do and add: built-ins, toy organization, reframing the garage entrance, new exterior doors…and there’s a whole other side to the basement including a bathroom we haven’t touched! My Hubspace smart devices from @homedepot are so versatile it was the perfect inexpensive upgrade to finish off our basement media room for our kids! The Hubspace App controls all my smart devices in one app. They were all super easy to install and connected each device in less than 60 seconds. I love that I can either control all the lights from my smart phone or just saying, “Hey Google - turn off basement lights!” There are so many options for Hubspace friendly products including interior and exterior options. spanish cabin living room DAY 4: everything is li spanish cabin living room DAY 4: everything is literal and everything is a vibe 🤣 honestly we create the vibe we want in the world and I want a Spanish inspired cabin and finding that dresser on FB marketplace solidified the vision girls 🙌🏽 what are feeling on the lamp? What do we like!! and I feel like I need to share how much furniture we have gotten off facebook marketplace because omg it’s so addicting 🤣 when Cody gets back from key west we are knocking out the fireplace arch and mantle! Tomorrow we’re sharing the lamp we decided on and the freaking insane things I found on marketplace. spanish cabin living room DAY 3: when I tell you spanish cabin living room DAY 3: when I tell you I winced after hanging the tv 😩 long story short - we really wanted to hang it on the side in a cabinet think Nancy Myers living room and in disguise 🤌🏽 with shelves but our living room is long and skinny so the couch sits back way further than our key west living room and we needed a larger tv to be able to see and read the subtitle because I can’t hear the tv without that 🙃 Frame TV doesn’t make a 60” so the executive decision was made on the 65”. Wallowing in this decision still and now having decision paralysis with the rug and Cody’s almost 100% positive we can’t arch the fireplace because…physics. But hey, maybe it’ll all look better with a mantle and some sort of arch to draw your eye away. spanish cabin living room DAY 2: The bricks were spanish cabin living room DAY 2: The bricks were a match, I repeat THE BRICKS WERE A MATCH 🧱 😩 girlssss the fireplace is slowly becoming everything and more! It feels so much more stately now that it goes to the ceiling, we still need to add the arch but oh my it’s perfect. I lost the battle on hanging the tv over the fireplace and we’ve been using a Google home for a tv since Ace broke our other one 😳 kids man.
