If there was ever a moment you thought “hey, I wonder if Kourtni has room in her home for ANOTHER barn door?” Well, you’re in luck because guess what? We built ANOTHER Barn door and I am so excited!

Week 1 // Week 2 // Week 3

We Built ANOTHER Barn Door

Yes, y’all. You know it was bound to happen again! This time around its another modern style door and it’s not barn and farmhouse-ie like many people build. I forgot to snap a photo of the finished stain color, but I might just keep that a surprise for the reveal!

My inspiration for this door was something I found on Pinterest here. Still not sure if I like the metal bars on it, so we’ll see if I decide to do that or attempt something else. Or should we leave it just like this?!

We’ve had the biggest issue with deciding on stain for this door. I wanted it to be warm and somewhat natural looking since the rocking chair has natural legs. I didn’t want too many variations of wood stains in the room since it’s so small, 10×10 to be exact.

If you caught my stories this week, then you saw the stain dilemma. I may have also dropped an accidental hint as to what we were going to stain it! Also, don’t worry friends, I’ll share the DIY tutorial for this Simple Modern Door soon.

Why does backorder exist?

We have 3 things that are currently still on backorder that we aren’t sure when they’ll be here. Good news, though! We have one item that will actually be getting here on Monday! Bad news, one item is lost in transit and the other won’t be here for another 4 weeks. HOLY COW. WHAT?!

The plan is to finish the One Room Challenge, but if there are items that still don’t make it in… we’ll figure something out I’m sure.

This Weeks Game Plan

This weeks game plan is to make an even bigger dent in the nursery than I did this week. We definitely had some set backs this past weekend with Cody getting sick out of the blue and Liv getting lice. Yes, she got lice and I cried. It was a dramatic ordeal for me. Probably because I’m about 2 days shy from being 38 weeks pregnant.

We are coming in hot with baby #2 and finishing up this project so you’ll see a lot of back and forth with prepping for baby and full on finishing this nursery!
