We aren’t Disney bloggers, but we had a lot of interest in our DisneyWorld trip so I figured I wrap it up here in a blog post instead of bombarding everyone on IG so you’re able to refer back if needed!
DisneyWorld Q&A : You asked, we answered!
Did you get Genie+? If yes, is it worth it for all parks?
Yes, we did! We got Military Tickets through the MWR and the Genie+ was part of the ticket. We didn’t add it, but it was amazing to have. Definitely worth it during peak seasons and if you’re traveling with little kids. Our 5 and 3 year old could at MOST wait in a 30 minute line.
Favorite Places to eat?
Honestly, Disney food kinda sucks if you are a healthy eater. We only did places to eat where you could do the “Mobile Order.” We did not do any sit down restaurants, all sit down restaurants require a reservation and you’re able to make them up to 6 months in advance. So they’re usually all booked up!
We ate anywhere there was at least grilled chicken or a salad on the menu, which is sparse. Places we liked to eat were:
Magic Kingdom – Coffee: Starbucks on Main Street, For Lunch: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe, For Desert: Plaza Ice Cream Parlor Hosted By Edy’s
Hollywood Studios – For Lunch: PizzeRizzo (Muppets 10 Courtyard)
Animal Kingdom – For Lunch: Harambe Market
Epcot – Coffee: Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company (Near Canada), For Lunch: Regal Eagle Smokehouse (in America), For Lunch: Connections Eatery
We didn’t eat dinner at the parks. We left mid afternoon and did UberEats for dinner and ate in our hotel room. It was easier with all the kids and we didn’t have to worry about them getting restless!
Favorite Snacks?
You can bring snacks into the park, which I highly recommend! We did granola bars, cherrios, crackers, pretzels. We also brought some fruit (bananas, cutie oranges, grapes, strawberries) and cut them up un our hotel room and had the kids Bentgo boxes available for them to snack on.
Ace had his stackable snack organizer which was awesome to just have readily available on the stroller!
What do you recommend for clothing if we are coming from out of state?
This is a tougher one since we came up from Key West and our cold weather is the low 70’s. I’m a visual person so I make moldboards for everything, even clothing! We went in the Summer and Winter. Winter in Florida is not super cold for the rest of the country, a low around 60-70 and a high sometimes of 88. We brought an assortment of long sleeve t-shirts, thin pants and light sweater.
Each child had a change of additional clothes in the diaper bag in case of an accident and if they got hot. We did layers and they would just take them off as they got hot.

What did you bring to the park in terms of gear for kids?
You can rent a stroller from a ton of different rental places, but we like to bring our own. We’re not personally fans of the double width strollers as compared to the convertible stroller with additional attachments.
- Stroller Rain Cover – we didn’t use this in the winter, but we did in the summer. It’s on of those things that you always want to have for those “just in case” moments.
- Belt Bag – This is where it’s at when it comes to having your wallet, phone, and park passes handy at all times. We had the diaper bag in the stroller bay underneath as well.
- Baby Carrier – When we went on rides where Ace was able to go to we would wear him on rides and if there were any longer lines.
- Quilted Belt Bag – My favorite $20 belt bag that’s now in a tan quilted design!
- Snack Organizer – A detachable snack organizer perfect for any age snacks.
- Bottom Rumble Seat Stroller Attachment – a must if you are adding another seat on your uppababy vista stroller.
- Top Seat Stroller Attachment – another must for multiple seats on the uppababy vista stroller.
- Stroller Carry All Organizer – The updated version is amazing, has 3 drink holder compartments, a phone sleeve, and a zipper pocket.
- Kids Yeti Cups – The indestructible and keeps the kids water nice and chilled.
- Stanley Travel Cup – the hype is real with the Stanley cup and this one is amazing with the pop up sip straw, and no spill!
- Stroller tray caddy – this is great for littles to eat their snack on the go and a place for their water cups too.
- Stroller caribeaner clips – these have velcro to to stay in place on the stroller and clips to grab anything to make it easily accessible. We used these for water bottles and snacks on the side of the stroller.
- Skateboard Stroller Attachment – this one is great for older kids to easily hop on and off the stroller. Liv and Cash (5 and 3) both used this!
- Rumble Seat – this is another attachment for the uppababy vista stroller, for the lower seat.
- Uppababy Vista Stroller – this is an investment, but we got it for our first – who is now 5 years old! We’ve used it for every single baby!

Is there a problem with birds like seagulls?
This one made me laugh, because I noticed this! The only place I noticed a weird amount of seagulls was Magic Kingdom. It makes no sense, especially since we aren’t super close to any large body of water.
What hotel did you stay at? Was it on property?
We did not stay at a Disney Hotel on property. We stayed at the Signia by Hilton at Bonnet Creek which is classified as a Disney hotel and we were able to get into the parks early and it was HALF the price of a Disney Property Hotel. We were able to take a free shuttle from our hotel to every park.
Our hotel also offered a $30 meal credit daily so we had about half of our breakfast covered everyday, which was awesome!
We had a great time and did not have very high expectations for our kids which helped a ton! We let Genie+ basically dictate our day and we left the park around 2:30-3:30pm each day. We’ll definitely be back again when the kids are a bit older too!
If you have more questions feel free to drop them in the comments and I’ll be happy to answer!
