Macrame plant hangers have become such a fun design element for any space. I’m sharing this super fun and easy tutorial to make that DIY macrame plant hanger you’ve always wanted to!

How to DIY Macrame Plant Hanger

Have you ever made your own macrame plant hanger? Well, me either. Until I tried my hands at this fun creation! I even dyed the yarn with food coloring! Say what?! Yes, food coloring friends. In the spirit of dying Easter eggs this April, we dyed our yarn with food coloring for a non-toxic fun activity that’s fun for all ages to make a DIY Macrame Plant Hanger! You can check out that tutorial here.

Macrame is such a fun creative outlet and it’s essentially the art if knotting string together to in patterns to make “articles”. So basically you can’t mess up macrame! This was my first attempt at any type of macrame so the fact that this is a first time project means you’ve got this one in the bag!

If you’re in the polar vortex like a lot of east coasters you’ll appreciate this easy DIY activity especially since it doesn’t involve leaving your home and all the items can be sourced through Amazon! You’re welcome friends 😉
