Did you know the very first thing you need when starting a kitchen remodel is the sink? Yep! Everything practically revolves around the sink believe it or not. The plumbers needed to know where the new water lines would go, we needed to know the size of the sink to set the cabinets and purchase countertops. It’s a lot to plan for, but one things for sure everything is a domino effect when designing a kitchen.

We had our sink for the kitchen remodel picked out back in July and its now March…2022. We’ve had a lot of delays with this kitchen remodel, but none the less we are making big strides!

We’re not done with the kitchen renovation just yet, and I feel like I can never say we are fully done with any project – but it’s pretty good lookin’. We washed dishes in the bathtub for 5 months while we were working on the kitchen all while living through it.

So you can imagine how happy I was to have our Elkay White Quartz Classic 33” under-mount sink installed. The literal happy tears streaming down my face that we have a functioning kitchen and no longer had to wash dishes in the bathtub. It’s the little things, am I right?

In our last home we renovated the kitchen and put in a farmhouse sink otherwise known as an apron front sink. I decided to put an under-mount sink in this kitchen design to give the illusion of a larger kitchen with more cabinet fronts visible in the island. Elkay has so many options when it comes to kitchen sinks – stainless, quartz, fireclay and ranges from any size! We love our sink, and we know you’ll find one from Elkay you love, too!
