neutral living room with gallery wall and wooden coffee table

  • My biggest FAQ is this gallery wall. Gallery walls are my favorite and make such a huge statement! Like this one we’ve got in our living room. However, I may often refer to this as our family shrine – but it’s still my favorite.  I always get so many questions on these frames when I share a snap from our living room. These frames are 18×18 and our ceilings are 12FT in here! These guys seriously take up the perfect amount of space on the wall.

These are the frames we have here and absolutely love them! You can even make this DIY Modern Coffee Table too if you’re up for an easy $40 DIY this weekend.

  • This week marks 28 weeks and we are officially in the 3rd trimester. Holy cow, y’all! Where did the time go? No crazy cravings over here besides movie theater popcorn and hot dogs. I don’t even eat hot dogs and the fact that I like them when I’m pregnant is hilarious. When I was pregnant with Liv I craved apple pie all the time. It’s funny how pregnancy works!

  • Cody and I went to a military marriage conference last weekend and WOW did I get that wrong. We had been wanting to go to one for a while now and our schedules just never coincided. He forwarded me the email and said we should go, so I signed us up! I mean who doesn’t want free childcare and some good alone time with their spouse – Am I right?!

Well, we got to the hotel with a few minutes to spare for dinner. So I took Liv to go get something to eat while he parked the car and got all the luggage out. As I ate I met a few women and this one women in particular happened to be one of the coordinators of the conference. I told her we got there so late because I was waiting for my husband to get off work and so on. I asked more about the conference since it was our first time coming as anyone else probably would.

Come to find out, the conference is ONLY for the spouses. As in me, not him. So he wasn’t allowed to participate in anything, not even the food! The military offers marriage conferences AND spouse only conferences. This was not very obvious seeing that 4 other women came with their spouses too! So I went in with an open mind and it went way better than I thought it would.

I was able to meet a good group of wonderful women that are all in the same phase of life that I am. It’s nice to be able to talk and connect with other women who understand wholeheartedly about this lifestyle.

  • I’ve been totally digging Sarah from @sarahmdorseydesigns lately and her living room they did for the Spring 2019 One Room Challenge is one of my absolute favorites! If you haven’t checked her out, you definitely need to. She’s all about interior design and DIY and have I mentioned she has a book too? Check it out here, Big Style in Small Spaces.

Happy Friday friends and hope you have a great weekend!
