The wait is finally over friends! It’s time to reveal the Modern Office Makeover I’ve been eagerly working on. Who remembers this photo from The 8 Projects We’re Going to do in 2019?

This is the most embarrassing space in our entire house, my home office. Y’all got a kick out of this when I shared it on Instagram. Because the truth is, everyone has a room that looks like this in their home. If you can remember, I haven’t actually worked in my office since I remotely worked a 9-5 from home almost a year and a half ago! Wow, talk about embarrassing folks.

I’m so excited to partner with the The Home Depot ProjectColor App to bring this room to life with a simple gallon of Behr Paint!

Using the Project Color App

We tackled the office makeover with The Home Depot ProjectColor App. Our whole home is very neutral and I’ve been toying with the idea of painting the entire built-in bookcase, but never really knew where to start with color. The ProjectColor App allows you to see the color in your space, color match, and get inspired by new color trends.

Painting the Built-In Bookcase

My little helper wanted to help paint the whole house green! We decided on Pinecone Hill by Behr Paint in Behr Premium Plus Ultra Satin Finish. The paint and primer in one made it so that I only needed two coats on the entire built-in! The Home Depot is having a paint promo during Labor Day Weekend for $10 off 1 gallon / $40 off 3 and 5 gallons. You can check out all the details here about Home Depot’s Labor Day Paint Sale!

After

Feast your eyes on what a can of Behr Paint and the ProjectColor App can do, y’all.

In addition to using The ProjectColor App I used tons of Home Depot’s décor to decorate the rest of the office. For more home décor finds check out, The Best home Décor from Home Depot if you’re looking for some jaw dropping finds.

Home Depot has officially made me a plant lady, y’all, and I’m not mad about it.

I finished off the Office Makeover with home décor from Home Depot and a few vintage/thrifted finds along with building this DIY Modern Wood Desk. Y’all know I couldn’t help myself! I’ve got to build something in all of my room makeovers 😉

If you want to see more behind the scenes check out my Instagram story highlights and click on “Office Makeover.” I know y’all want to see more, so to get the FULL REVEAL head on over to Home Depot’s blog for all the details that came with this project.

I took on this paint project at my own risk while preparing for baby #2! Behr offers multiple low VOC paint options to help you transform your spaces.

Let me know if you have any questions about anything product wise or even remodeling questions! I’m an open book 🙂

  2. Love everything about your office. How long did it take you to paint the two coats of paint? I am dying to paint my IKEA shelves,

    1. Hi Karyn,

Thank you so much! I’m so happy you love it too. It took me about 2-3 days, not too long. I did want to make sure the paint dried completely before adding each coat. This color would look so great on an IKEA shelf!
