If you noticed back in the beginning of January I started our decluttering journey which in part was due to the fact that we were moving. I knew we had way too many thingsQ You know, when you open all your random drawers and closets and things just fall out? I wanted to avoid the stress and anxiety of decluttering and staging our home and give myself as much time as I needed. We’ve got quite a laundry list of things to do before we (List, Sell, Move), so we’ve been knocking things out room-by-room!
Entire Home
- Fill holes
- Caulk
- Touch up paint
- Depersonalize home (family photos, family momento’s)
- Fix broken vent registers
Entry
- Swap out front door handleset
- Remove artwork above light switches
- Repot planters on porch with new greenery
- Move coat rack to garage entrance or breakfast nook
- Patch coat rack holes
Home Office
- Recaulk built-in corners
- Declutter files, paperwork
- Clean return/replace air filter
Dining Room
- Wash ruggable and sell on FB Marketplace
- Layout black vintage area rug from attic
- Bring in giant mirror for above sideboard
- Sell dish ware on FB Marketplace

Living Room
- Remove family photo gallery wall or replace photos
- Minimize throw pillows
- Reduce furniture to create a better traffic flow

Kitchen/Breakfast Nook
- Replace faucet attachment (the button sticks and breaks often)
- Clean Cabinets with soapy water and microfiber cloth
- Paint touch ups on Cabinets
- Tighten any loose cabinet doors and knobs
- Glue caps on bar stool chairs
- Declutter cabinets (donate/pack up)
- Clean return and replace air filter
- Replace wooden blinds for roman shade
- Clean and repaint windows
